Hi all, I have used the contour product for couple days now and I was wondering what intensity can people take at the beginning, as I use only between 5-7 percent and it kinda hurts, the longer I use it it gets better, but wasn't able to go over 11 percent at resistance programme..
Also I found my left side muscle to be kinda moving, contracting more then the other side. Is that normal or maybe the product just uses more power somehow on the left side? is that possible? I just set intensity one or more percent higher on the right so it feels even..
I am also little sore, so I feel it defenitely works, just like I would have been doing crunches day before.. but how can that be if the percentage was so low.. maybe I am just not used to it and I will have to higher it? but what if I won't be able to stand more percent intensity and then it is not gonna work for me?
Thank you ahead for answering my questions..

Hi,

As with all exercise, some muscle soreness can be expected. The proper term is called DOMS or Delayed Onset of Muscle Soreness. This usually occurs 24-48 hours after strenuous exercise. Muscle soreness is caused by the breakdown of muscle fibers.

If too much muscle soreness occurs, use a lower intensity level until your body becomes acclimated to the device. Then, gradually increase intensity.

As to your left muscle contracting more than the right, you may have a muscle imbalance, where one muscle is stronger than the other.

About 50-75% of electromuscle stimulation users will experience uneven twitching during their EMS workouts. Simply increase the intensity on the low twitching side until both muscles are twitching equally. We recommend that you increase the "less twitching" muscle side by no more than 5 levels of intensity over the other side. This is especially effective with the Strength programs. With a few increases in intensity, you should be able to gradually reduce the difference. You will have corrected the imbalance when you notice, over several sessions, each side is twitching equally at the same intensity.

I to noticed it feeling more intensity on the left side, so you are not the only one!
My Contour Abs also resets lower than I set it, but I usually just bump it back up, Does that mean it is defective?:ermm:
