Don't nit pick this unless you try it and fail.

This is long winded but if you Wade through it, you may find it useful. (ive never been too good at composing stuff)

The first thing us people looking to lost weight quick will find that low setting don't work as on TV and high setting burn and sometimes cause the device to reset.

Well don't distress! when i buy something I always try to resolve the issues without voiding warranty. If all else fails, I only then will seek repair replacement.

First issue:
Resetting in higher percentage (and believe it or not burning)

the first thing you learn in electronics or being a electron is that they will always choose the shortest path. Which means in this device, more of the current goes through the surface of skin (in between electrode pads) You can thank Mr.Oscilloscope for this little tidbit of fact, and causes the pain receptors there to light up causes a distinctive electrical burn feeling.

Solutions?  
Polarity and pad placement!
The pad placement came to me in a few steps. First, i have been burned by electricity on many accounts and I learned how to reduce the burning sensation by separating the poles and balancing them. Despite the instructions, the + and - leads DO matter. For instance you should make the 2 center ones on either side of yellow line one polarity. Don't matter which, they both have to be the same, and the outer 2 make the other polarity observing that each side of the yellow line needs to be its own channel. This will reduce the burn and help the device not reset as much allowing for more power. On top of that make sure you align them properly on the belt within the solid lines, not dotted lines. The dotted lines are for the smaller pads. This tidbit is meant for people wanting definition, not the ones losing weight (like me)

When you put this thing on you will find you have to turn it way up for not much movement and the burning sensation. IF you are like me, you want the same magnitude of convulsions as the guy with no fat. To do this simply place the pads further apart.
what I am doing:
I left the 2 center ones on belt and replaced the backing back onto the others (the side that sticks to belt Not the side that goes on skin) and placed them on either side under the belt strap just before the sides of the belly curves around in the back and used the strap to hold them in place.
(if i were able to post pics ide post illustrations)

Hook up the leads in the polarity layout explained above and start the cycle of your choice.

Technical Note:
When you set up the
polarities + - + - this will cause one
set to limit the
current of the other set and sometimes causes feedback that causes the coils to reset the controller. Electrons flow out the the - and into the + so the system works more efficient if everything in going in the same direction. Also this will make the convulsions feel even on both sides and result in a more "Ive worked out" feeling.
also the pads being too close together will cause impedance that will cause it to reset, almost like short circuit.
System creates power like a camera's flash but at 55v not 500 The distinctive whine of a cames comes from the feedback of the cap its charging as it resonates the coil. Defribulators have this sound and is much more entertaining to hear (but not to feel).


--WARNING--
Even though you barely use those muscles, they are still very strong and will cause ALLOT of motion as the muscles move around 30+ pounds of fat. and the contraction will feel like your lifting too much so adjust it to what you are willing to tolerate it stops causing you to knock crud off stuff your next to. Contractions also feel better if you do not resist.
I turn mine up until I begin to feel the burning sensations from the pads then down till its tolerable. if your pads are in good condition, you will find how little current you need to massive amount of contractions.
(hows that for a swiss wave) ;)

-- Why? --
Well when you have them in the OEM position (Ie set up like instructions,) they are close enough for the current to jump from one to the other through the skin and layer of fat. when you move them apart the current path is shifted to pass directly through the muscles hence the HUGE effect this little trick has. And since less passes from one to the other through the surface of skin, the burning is brought down, and is limited to a little bit of itching until you turn it up so high the nerves in skin are lit up again :P

--- NOTE ---
Once you burn off the fat you will see that you will be forced to place the pads back in they're OEM positions then you can begin sculpting to your whim. or apply this trick to other parts of your body using placement guides. and appropriate accessories. (they need to have a wiring guide created for this because just telling people to put polarities any way is not very efficient for the circuit.) Yes when your hooked up to this you are part of the circuit. also not isolating the polarities in the torso and above could have undesired effects on the heart like disturbing it's rhythm. This is a logical statement not a proven one.

--- FOOD ---
Cant afford real health food?
Eat less. Plain and simple.
If your hungry eat just enough to tide you over and if you feel like chewing, chew gum. (NOT KIDS GUM)
You can eat candy and soda but limit yourself to little candy (like 2 bars-ish a day) and if you MUST, 3 cans of soda MAX per day. and less if you can bring yourself to it.
Replace bad with good any time you can!
Once you lose the weight, you need to eat more healthy stuff on a plan if you want to sculpt.

--- Other exorcise ---
Any little bit helps. Please see types of additional
exorcises elsewhere for what suits you. If I knew
more about this I wouldn't be fat now would I?

whoops,
the dotted lines on belt, they represent the positioning and size.
Make sure you note how it fits when placing them.
