Is it okay to have a protein drink or water while doing the core training? How long do I have to wait before or after the core training to have a meal?

Hi,

Yes, it's ok to have a protein drink or water while doing core training. Proper hydration is important, especially while exercising.

As to the length of time you have to wait before or after core training to have a meal, there is no set length of time you have to wait.

The Contour Core Sculpting System Diet and Exercise Guide recommends eating 5-6 small meals a day. By following these guidelines, that means you would be averaging a meal every 4-5 hours.

For instance, you could have a small meal a couple of hours before core training. After core training, you could then have another small meal a couple of hours later.

Just as a followup question: would there be any adverse effects if I were to have a meal, let's say lunch, 30 minutes prior to core training? What's the possibility of getting cramps or having some other discomfort?
