I just got my Contour yesterday. I tried it out and was really surprised on how much it worked out my stomach muscles. I can feel that I used it yesterday but am not too sore.

Can I use the contour more than once a day? (morning and night?) Also how often should i increase the intensity? I think it started at 14% and I upped it to 20% right away. I could really tell the difference. Should I up it to 25% tonight if i can handle it?

I have found that I only need to use this once per day similar to traditional sit-ups. However, it is better because this technology is so efficient and easy on your back, hip flexors, etc.... you can use it more than one time per day. Plus, I can really feel more of my muscles flexing that I can get in the gym. The more important aspect to your question relates to intensity. I have been around many athletes like cyclists and triathletes that use this technology and they gave me tips over the years. It looks like you have a good start, going from 14% to 20% and not 25%. When you talk to other eStim users, you will find that they begin to feel and/or see results when intensity gets above 30-35% on a Contour. Remember to not make the mistake I made and use the wrong program. I found out (by reading the book) that the different programs actually work on the muscles in a different way. The Resistance program is best for body toning. Use the Strength program for strengthening. Active Recovery is great for that soothing relaxation of your muscles. I use that on my legs after running or a workout. Choose Resistance Program, Level 1 to begin and gradually go to Level 2, 3, 4, 5 as those small changes in frequency will add intensity that you won't feel but your muscles will. Bottom line with good eStim products like this Contour is to choose the right program and push the intensity as high as you can. The higher the intensity, the better and faster the results. You can't hurt yourself. Your muscles will adapt to whatever intensity you are using and you will be able to increase more than you think. I know I did. I use 75% or more on my legs and 40-45% on my abs. I am a 45-year old male.

I have read several posts where people are using the system on muscle groups other than abs. And even on different areas on the abs.

The kit comes with a poster showing where to place pads for various muscle groups. So...my question is, how are you guys doing it? Did you buy extra gel pads? Are you just using the belt, wrapped around different spots? That seems awkward.

Also, I am already in fairly good shape. I work out at the gym 3 days a week. Should I just start out at level 3 or 4 with a higher intensity also?

My first workout was level 3 at 20% and though I certainly felt it working, I didn't feel any residual soreness afterwards.

Thanks for your help.

I have been using my contour belt for 3 days. I began low and have gradually increased the intensity. I now use it twice a day. I love when I go to the gym I don't have to worry about abs. I go to the steam room and get more attention than the 20 year olds. I been on a similiar diet for years, with alittle more of the healthy fats. I see results already, I am amazed, I wish I had know about it sooner. I just thought it was hype, I was going to originally send it back. I wear a bikini, I am 58 years old with two grown kids and 3 grandkids.
